Relay Partners

So many people help to make Relay For Life Stockport what it is.  We would like to say a massive thank you to just a few of the organisations that support us.

Cheadle (Kingsway) Sports Club have, for the past two years, been a vital partner to Relay For Life Stockport, helping us in our move to a new venue, opening their doors on the day of relay itself, but also beforehand in offering us space to hold all our team nights.  Toilets and the bar at the club are available for all relayers, with hot food available inside.  They've even also entered a number of teams in Relay, and we are incredibly grateful for their wonderful support.  Particular note must go to Tony Brady from the club who came along to all our early meetings, helped shape the event and assist us in settling in to our new home.

Like Cheadle Sports club, Kingsway School allow us to use their facilities over the weekend of Relay - the field, toilets at the sports hall and car parking all made available to us so that we can put on our event, and for that we are incredibly grateful.  Our liason with the school is all done via Jim Cross, who regularly puts himself out to help us out, and for that we are once again massively grateful.

Offerton Sand And Gravel are another key partner to Stockport Relay.  The landscaping suppliers (stones, paving, gravel, sand - that kind of thing is all available) based on Marple Road (at the end of Bean Leach Road) in Offerton have provided the sand for our Candle Of Hope bags completely free of charge for the past seven years at Relay For Life Stockport, a tremendous gesture.

David Bratt and Sons of Cheadle are another long time partner to Relay For Life Stockport.  For the past seven years, Bratts have lent us one of their trailers to use as a stage at our event, saving us a great deal of expense - which means more money going to try to fight cancer.

Wright Hire in Marple have for the past six years helped us out by lending lights and building an amazing ramp which we use for access to the stage.
