For the second year - we welcome Team Rowlinson!
The name comes from the company we represent, Rowlinson Knitwear. My wife has been taking part in the Race for Life for several years and it always galled me that, being a man, I couldn’t take part in the fundraising. When I saw Relay Dog at the Teenage Market last year advertising the Relay it was a no-brainer for me. Having raised money for various charities over the years (parachute jump, abseiling, etc) the idea of the relay I thought was great. I called a meeting with my colleagues at work and we agreed it was a great cause to put a team into. With directors approval we entered the team and everyone who took part had a great time. We decided then that it was going to be an ongoing thing for us to put a team in. All of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another and it seemed the ideal scenario. Though not on the team my kids helped out as well and they have entered their own team this year, Oliver’s Army. My niece also came to the Relay to support us and she has entered her own team this year, Virgin Media. My wife, who was on my team last year has also entered her own team, Team Pacey Local Stockport so it’s a real family affair
