First a reminder that this Monday is our final team night of the 2015 season, come along to Cheadle Cricket club at 8pm to find out about on the day stuff, including what to bring and where you'll be able to pitch your tents.
I'll be there from 7:30 to take any banking you may have to hand over.
There's a lovely message from our team chair Daniel on facebook at the moment - in video form no less - click here to view it if you haven't already done so
Apart from Relay itself, there's loads going on at the moment. Next Saturday and Sunday we are selling the pink flowers at Race For Life events at Tatton Park (Saturday 20th June) and Aintree Racecourse (Sunday 21st June). We really really need help with this - if you can give up a couple of hours of your time you will raise a large amount of money for your team (everything raised will be shared between the teams of those who come along). We really need more volunteers to both events - a lifts can be arranged for Aintree and it's a great day out, you get to go out on the racecourse when there's nobody else around! If you can possibly help us out please email me back. It really is lots of fun and you'll raise loads of money for Cancer Research UK.
Friday 26th June - Race Night at the George and Dragon, Heaton Chapel (SK4 5DH), organised by the team "Three's A Crowd". Should be a fantastic night, see the attached leaflet for more details.
Two weeks after Relay we have The Silent Auction, 17th July, 7:30pm at Stockport Masonic Guildhall, SK1 3UA. Some absolutely incredible items to bid on including signed stuff from City and United amongst others, and some really rare memorabilia. Just £6 including food, find out more here : https://www.facebook.com/ events/634588516642415/ permalink/670343756400224/
Finally, and I can't stress this enough, if you haven't registered yet, or know somebody who hasn't yet registered, please do so in the next day or two. It can take two or three weeks for your Relay T-Shirts and registration packs to come through, if you haven't registered this week then you run the risk of missing out.
In the run up to Relay, why not start tweeting and instagramming your build up - use the hashtag #StockportRelay so we can share...
Look forward to seeing you all on Monday night,
